UMLS helps keyword search based on the medical terms and keyword.indexing and mapping of content keyword with other contents.This uploaded keywords indexed and matched to the UMLS taxonomy. by this UMLS search keyword high blood pressure and hypertension would all be linked.Another example cancer, carcinoma and other medical term is linked and shown in the search result.
