@Leena: +1 to the response from Usman.

I would only use WAMP in production if you are talking about a Moodle instance for a very low number of users. Same advice using LAMP.

If you want something that performs well and is scalible etc. I would recommend putting the time in to build the stack yourself - again this is regardless of what OS you're using.  You will learn a lot more about how Moodle works and how to support it by building the stack.

Yet again smile agreeing with Usman that on Windows use IIS.  Just like Apache etc. services are best suited to Linux, IIS will out perform them on Windows.
