Hi

I'm using Moodle 3.3 on NAS QNAP

I have 3 categories by Cluster and under each clusters, I have company and under company also have a courses

1. Cluster 1

   1.1 Company 1

          1.1.1 Course 1  -> Teacher A

   1.2 Company 2

          1.2.1 Course 1 -> Teacher B

2. Cluster 2

   2.1 Company 1

          2.1.1 Course 1  -> Teacher C

   2.2 Company 2

          2.2.1 Course 1 -> Teacher D

3. Cluster 3

   3.1 Company 1

          3.1.1 Course 1  -> Teacher E

   3.2 Company 2

          3.2.1 Course 1 -> Teacher F

Is possible to set users/teacher permission based on Course Categories that they can access to their course & company only?

or any ideas how to manage situations like this?

Thank you

What you are looking for is called 'multi tenancy'

Go and have a look at www.iomad.org. This is an extension to Moodle that does exactly what you are looking for.

Hi Howard Miller

Thank you for reply and recommend . Yes that "Multi Tenancy" maybe we are looking for but will concern about the cost again. lol

Note: meaning Moodle itself can't do similar like that right?

Thank you

Iomad is Open Source (free). The company that maintains it (ELD) charges for support, hosting and development but there's no obligation. There's no way to do exactly what you describe in standard Moodle.  You can get close using Cohorts and suchlike but there's no mechanism for completely separating them
