How to remove the city and country textbox on the registration page?

Why do you want to remove them?
They are optional, users don't need to fill them if they don't want to.
If you really insist on it the form is located at \moodle\login\signup_form.php, where you can remove these fields.
However, this change would be custom code and you need to care that it is also transferred in Moodle upgrades.
Alternatively, you can use custom CSS (display:none) of your theme.
Thanks Kahraman, the CSS will do the trick. One of our Moodle platform is
intended for Grade 11 and 12 students, we only want to have limited fields
during self registration to make it simple and easy for them.
