As a teacher, I want to add lectures in PDF format. I have added lectures in resource type "File" but whenever students click on that files, files start downloading and the files do not open in the browser window. I have tried all the options in appearance (e.g., automatic, open, in pop-up, embed) but none of them worked. Furthermore, as far as the browser setting is concerned I have tried Google Chrome as well as Opera Mini but in every case, the file starts downloading.
I need the guidance of you people. Actually, I want to calculate the time a student spends on a lecture, by using data from Moodle database and that time can only be calculated if the file is viewed by the student in the browser window.
I'll be very thankful if someone help.
