Thank you Jean-Michel. A simple fix and now I'm much wiser.
Many of my quizzes are Formula Question format because it offers the power of compound variable formula calculations and the flexibilty of sub-routine independence. Great for scientific subject areas.
It is my hope that this quiz format becomes a core quiz activity and I no longer need to worry about non-support of the quiz and Moodle upgrades on this issue, down the road.
