MOODLE Version: 3.1.5 (Build: 20170313)      Database:  mysql (5.7.20-0ubuntu0.16.04.1)

I would like to have a clearer 'Must Enrol' message for an 'Authenticated User' when they attempt to do something.

Selecting the 'Book module:

  • 'Guest' action;
    • Sent to site login page - This is good!

  • 'Authenticated User' action;
    • Book Msg image 1 - Too vague.

    • Book Msg image 2 - Would be better.

Is there a way to:

  1. Change the message text to something like:
    "You need to enrol in this course to do anything. See the 'Course Administration' block on this page";

    AND/OR

  2. Expand the 'Course Administration' by default.

You can edit the language string to change the text.

The block will remember the user's preference - normally they are expanded initially.

Thank you Emma;

You've given me hope and another question. Where do I find the language string so that I can edit it?

Excellent!     Thank you, once again.

Another Question:     There is a "Continue" button (See attached image) that does nothing when selected.     Is it possible for me to hide the button or program it to jump to another page   i.e. the Front Page or Previous Page?

Also wondering whether that error message will show under a different circumstance and now, the message is too specific.     What do you think?
