Validating a single youtube account when logging in?

We're wanting to live webcast a school, and to save money, they want me to use Youtube. A youtube event CAN be set to private and we could invite each student to that event and then require them to be logged into youtube before logging into moodle (or we could set up a single sign in so at least they only have to log in once).

What I'm wondering is if we can set up something inside moodle so that if a student is logged into moodle, the youtube player is already verified against OUR account so the student never messes with anything google.

Basically I want moodle to always stay logged into our youtube account with a single non admin user that has access to our private event videos. Just ONE account all the time, but that somehow does it in a way that unlocks it for all the students.

Does this make sense, and has anyone ever tried to do this?

I suspect unless you do some tricky cookie session work, this isn't something that's possible, but I figured I'd ask.

Technically very interesting.

But have you thought about vimeo Pro?

You have much more options to secure videos.

I like the possibility to replace a video without replacing the embedding code.

A team can upload etc.

It cost money but solves all the privacy issues you have with YouTube.
