Upload courses results
Coding error detected, it must be fixed by a programmer: Block type news_items has been disabled by the administrator.
Am getting this error recently while am trying to upload courses. Requesting for help.
It looks like you are trying to create a course including a block that has been disabled. Try reenabling the block and try again.

Its a normal csv upload..
And also the news_item cannot be found anywhere in moodle blocks.. This issue has been seen in many instances accross the moodle forum..but no solution has been given anywhere
You are still creating courses with the csv upload.
Latest news is probably the block it refers too. Do you have a column for number of news items? If so, delete that. or, if there is an option to select news items in the upload courses wizard, enter 0 there. Or, if you want to show news items, then enable the Latest News block.
Theres no column in the csv upload and also thrrrs no option to set news itemz to zero.
Is the Latest News block disabled? Can you enable it? Alternatively, you could add a line to your config.php which defines the blocks you want by default in the courses (in fact, this could be where the issue is coming from too...). There are posts on that in the forums - I just don't have time right now to find them for you but a quick search should bring them up.
