Hiding activities from students without preventing access

Hiding activities from students without preventing access

Hi All,

I am using Moodle 3.0.

I have used a lesson and a quiz in a course. However, I don't want the quiz to be visible to the students on the course page as I have placed a link to the quiz in the lesson itself to maintain a particular sequence. If I hide the quiz conventionally, then the students are not able to view the quiz when they click on the link in the lesson. I am not using the question page in the lesson itself because of limited options.

I tried searching related post but couldn't get the solution. Is there any way to do this?

If you are using Moodle 3.0 then there is a fearture 'orphaned activities' which you can use.  Here is a direct link to Moodle 3.0 documentation on this feature. However, Moodle 3.0 is quite old so if you can get your admin to upgrade the feature has been adapted to work more efficiently and its new name is Stealth activities
