on our root server we run a Moodle 2.9.8.
lately I upgraded the OS to Debian 9. Of course Debian 9
is shipped with married as well php7. I upgraded the file format
of the database to barracuda. So I see no longer error messages
for the database.
Concerned with php - version it is a little bit trickier.
My apache sees php 5.6. So as a result the page is running.
However, the cronjob fails. I can run itwith the shell command php (=php7.0)
So I get:
# sudo -u www-data /usr/bin/php admin/cli/cron.php
!!! <p>Error: database driver problem detected</p>
when I run php5.6 , I get
# sudo -u www-data /usr/bin/php5.6 admin/cli/cron.php

Can you get me started in order to get my cronjob running?
Is possible to debug shell scripts Moodle-wise ? Recommendations ?
Thanks a lot!
