Hi Sonali,
You might look at the 'Restrict access' feature: https://docs.moodle.org/34/en/Restrict_access then you could place teachers in different groups and restrict access by group or maybe just use the 'user profile' restriction (never tried this)

I don't think this would work on its own as by default teachers can control the groups. You would have to remove teachers' permission to Access All Groups (which usually would not be feasible).

C Behan you are right, when taking a closer look to the issue, it's not as easy as I thought. Using restrict access will work for students but not for teachers. I think it will not be easy to accomplish it with capabilities, site:accessallgroups or course:managegroups doesn’t seem to help as teachers will still see the hidden files.
I see a thread that deal with how to prevent the deletions of Assignments (it doesn't mention a context with groups) and Tim Hunt that is an authority in Moodle commented the next: ‘…I think what we do is to tell staff never to delete anything’ (https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=279589#p1201588)
