I have been trying to achieve this without success so far.
I imagine it would be often wanted so am hoping I have just missed something simple!
I used the instructions given here:
The label shows as expected when not logged in, but also shows when students are logged in.
When logged in the label shows like it would to an admin when restricted to some students i.e. greyed over with the restriction details below it.
Other items with restrictions in course areas themselves work as expected i.e. are completely hidden from those not in a selected group.
Restricting access by group is not available in the front page restrictions, so I used the email option provided by Mary at the link above.
Can anyone advise how I get this front page item to be hidden completely to students once logged in?
