Grading natural (sum) with weights: unfathomable totals

Dear Moodle community,

I have a question about grading with the settings natural (sum) while adding weights to each item. I cannot figure out the totals, no matter how I'm combining them. What I'm looking for is the calculation that gives the category total.

The details (as far as I know them):

Moodle 3.3

Grade aggregation: natural (sum) with set weights (empty grades are excluded)

There are nine tasks in the category, six of them graded.

Gradebook setup:

gradebook - set-up

Example of three students:

gradebook - grader report

I tried to figure out the calculation, working with the formula in Moodle Docs, but I can't achieve the total Moodle calculates.

Excel calculation:

Excel calculation - formula (based on Moodle Docs):

excel - calculation formula

So, can anybody supply me with the correct calculation? As we're trying to grade transparently the students see how their totals change as more and more of their work is graded. Therefore, I need to be able to explain to them how the total is added up (as it's clearly not the sum of all the graded tasks). I'd be grateful for any help you can provide.
