 Actually, we want to use an external database for data mapping without extracting the data from the LDAP.

Thanks for your advice.

Actually, we just want some data from external databases, not for authenticaton.

It is like the plugin of external database for courses enrolment, but we want to match or map  the data like the email address, ID for the users' profile.

You'll need to develop (or have developed) a custom plugin to do this. You won't find anything that exists.
