When editing the settings of a lesson activity, I saw there is a very uselful "practice lesson" setting (a practice lesson does not appear in the gradebook.).
However, and unfortunately, I couldn't find the same or a similar setting for quizzes... So I'm writing to you, hoping someone would say I didn't look for it well enough.
I use "quizzes" to create graded activities (if it's not graded, my students won't do it), however I would like to occasionally make some activities optional, without losing my grade settings, depending on what we did in class this year and my students needs.
If anyone has a (start of a) solution, it would greatly help me.
I think it is always usefult for the scores to appear in the gradebook, so students can see their overall performance at a glance, even if those scores do not contribute to the course total.
There are various ways to set up the gradebook so that the scores don't count. One way it to put them in a category (Practice quizzes) which contributes nothing to the course total.)
Your solution is absolutely perfect !
I do agree with you, it's always better when students can see their score for every quiz they took.
Thank you very much for your help ! ;)
