Hello,

PayPal was in the news yesterday announcing the launch of Indian currency domestic payments.

I have moodle 3.3, the PayPal enrol plugin (core) and Paypal Availability plugin does not have an option for Indian currency in the dropdown option - how can I add/ please provide for the 3.4 release on 13 nov 17.

Paypal Availability plugin: https://moodle.org/plugins/availability_paypal

Hello Rekha. The Paypal availability plugin is not standard Moodle but is a contributed plugin. Therefore you need to ask the developer of this plugin (you will find details on its plugin page) if they would kindly update it to display Indian currency.

Hi Mary,

I have sent a message to Daniel, the developer of the availability plugin. Strangely, I did not find the currency array in the plugin code (or anywhere in the moodle code), it may be sourcing from an online place.

The paypal enrol plugin is core, where can i ask moodle to add INR? The next release is Monday 13 nov.

Update: I called Paypal, they said Indian currency will be available only sometime next year.

Can you plan to update and add INR by then?

Hello,
you should file a new issue directly into https://github.com/danielneis/moodle-availability_paypal/issues, if the problem is within the 3rd party plug-in.

Otherwise, if the issue is in Moodle core, file a new issue into the Tracker, https://tracker.moodle.org/secure/CreateIssue.jspa?pid=10011&issuetype=1.

HTH,
Matteo
