Need to open URL link in separate window not in new tab

Dear all,

It seems that any URL or a link to a file I insert into course, is opening in a new tab and not in separate window which is what I need.

HTML code says something like ><a href="https://www.google.com" ....and I need something like window.open.. associated with JavaScript (I I'm not mistaken).

I regularly, tick option Open in new window, when placing URL link of link to PDF file.

Under display select Open in Pop Up window.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm actually trying to place URL link in Atto editor inside a description of a lesson.

Is there a way to do that?
