Gradebook setup:
Weighted Mean of grades for primary course aggregation.
Simple weighted mean of grades dor all categories.
All categories set to only caculate non-empty grades.
Category Example:
Quizes 10%
Discussions 25%
Witten Assign. 30%
Final Project 10%
Instructors must evaluate students' at mid-point of the course. About half of the quizzes and assignments are still not taken.
We have enountered calculation issues for the course total as far off as follows:
Moodle: 73.91
Manual: 68.10
This is the difference between failing the course and passing it at mid-point.
Is there an mathmatical explaination for this behavior?
