Dear Moodle community,
Today I switch from PHP 5.6 to PHP 7.1. It turned out that all the add-ons I used worked fine on PHP 7. This just kept me from moving on to the newer version of PHP. In addition to opcache, I decided to activate APCu (to improve performance).
I wonder what APCu configuration is recommended. Switch everything on to APCu cache? I'm wondering because the data stored in the APCu disappears pretty quickly, which can cause delays. For this reason, with low traffic, it is better to stay with standard file caching? Unfortunately, the documentation does not address these issues very much.
