Version 3.1

A common exam question in medicine is the Modified Essay Question (MEQ).  A typical MEQ would be like this:

Part 1: A patient arrives at the ER with etc, etc.  What is the first investigation?

The students then answer this question, and hand in their answer.  Then they get given the second part:

Part 2: An x-ray of this patient shows this:  [x-ray]  How would you mange?

The student then writes the management, hand it in, and then Part 3 is given, and so

For this to work, however, students are not able to modify their previous answers (That's why they hand in the previous parts).

The dependency feature in the Quiz is perfect for this type of question.  The problem is that it works for almost all question types except the essay type.  Does anyone know this could be accomplished with the essay question type?

Thanks

Just a brief update: I'm using the Lesson Plan to do it at the moment, and it works reasonably well.  One of the problems is that we would like to intersperse other question types, and the Lesson Plan does not have all the types that the Quiz Module has, and also, the Lesson Plan appears to allow for only 4 options in the MCQ.
