Grade items in multiple categories

Grade items in multiple categories

I have seen that Grade items can only be in one category, but I'm wondering if anyone has found a workaround so a Grade item can be aggregated in more than one Category-like structure?

Typically I might have 3 or 4 assessments that apply to a clustered group of units - Assessments 1 - 4 & Units A - C let's say.

A1 might apply to UA & UB

A2 to UA & UC

A3 to UA

A4 to UA, UB & UC

I'd love to be able to find a way to easily see when all the assessments for any particular unit have been completed. Presently I have to keep a table of Unit/Assessment mapping handy and manually look over all the assessments and check them off against the units - tedious in the extreme when there are many units in many clusters.

Presently all I can do is pick the unit with the most assessment tasks and create a category for that one unit, leaving the others to manually categorise.

Thanks
