google drive repository - link to SCORM files rather than import?

I have set up a google drive to host my SCORM files. When I add them into my course, it imports them into my moodle. Is there any way of having the files stay on the repository and just be linked to? I know it might be slowsad

Thanks!

No.

SCORM uses JavaScript for communication between the LMS (Moodle) and the SCORM package itself. Modern web-browsers block Javascript communication between different domains (your Moodle site and google.com)

If you don't want to host your content and want to develop SCORM style packages you could look at replacing your SCORM packages with something like h5p:

https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_hvp
