Is there any way to use PayPal to allow students to purchase credits, which can be used for registation, rather than directly paying for each class? For example:
A student purchases 1000 credits, at a cost of $200. The student then registeres for a course costing 100 credits and another course costing 400 credits. The student would be left with 500 credits in their account, which they could then use to register for additional courses.
The students should be able to use PaylPal to purchase different amounts of credits, receving a volume discount for larger purchases. For example:
100 credits: $45
200 credits: $65
300 credits: $95
500 credits: $150
1000 credits: $250
2000 credits: $450
3000 credits: $650
These credits would then be added to the student's account, and they could then use the credits to register for courses. Of course, the administrator would need to be able to add and remove credits from each user's account.
When a student registers for a course, the correct number of credits would automatically be removed from their account. It would also be nice to be able to specify a window in which the user is permitted to cancel registration (i.e. If they cancel prior to 48 hours, the credits are refunded. If they don't cancel, the reservation is locked; and they can not cancel within 48 hours.)
Is any of this currently possible, or is anyone working on anything like this?
