Hello,

I enrolled a student to the moodlecloud and when she tries to login to the Spanish 101 courseroom, it tells her that she can't enroll herself. She should be able to enter the course room since I manually enrolled her, but it won't let her in.

Hi Kevin, 

It seems like the student has a valid user account, which allows her to login, but she is not enrolled in the course (which is a different operation). The Moodle documentation explains how to do that in details and this short video also shows how to do it, but the short story is:

  • go to the course front page
  • in the left menu, click "Participants"
  • then, in the "gear menu" (on the right side), click "Enrolled users"
  • then, click on the "Enrol user button" 
  • from there you can click "Enrol" for each student you want in that course

If you want users to be able to self-enrol, you need to enable the "Self enrolment" plugin for this course.

Thank you for your timely response. I figured it out I believe. She wasn't

enrolled in the course because I set up the course incorrectly. I had to

delete the course and recreate it. I was then able to enroll her into the

course and now it shows that she is in there.
