Do you know if there is incompatibilities with older Androids?

In our site people that get an access error has, for example, Android 4.4.4, Android 5.0.2

Is there some page where I can check the compatible versions?

Thank you,

Hi Marga,

the app should work with Android 4.1 onwards but we've noticed that for some sites using https if the SSL certificate is not correctly configured (or uses an old encryption method) it may fail in old Android versions.

You should check your site certificate via this tools: https://www.geocerts.com/ssl_checker and https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html

In the FAQ you will find additional information: https://docs.moodle.org/33/en/Moodle_Mobile_FAQ#I_can_connect_with_my_iPhone_but_not_with_my_Android_phone

Hi Juan,

Thank you for your reply.

Our admin can see some old Android version that has been able to connect and work: Android 4.4.2, 4.4.4, 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2

But there're others that get this error message:

We are looking a bit more to try to know why. Any suggest will be welcome.

Best regards,

Hi,

I'm pretty sure the problem is with the certificate, please check your domain in https://www.geocerts.com/ssl_checker and https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html

I see the following error:

Certificate Chain Complete?
A valid Root CA Certificate could not be located, the certificate will likely display browser warnings.

And ssllabs gives an F rating (very bad) for your certificate, for other domains like moodle.org is A or campusvirtual2.ub.edu is an A+
