I'm trying to find the best way to manage a series of assignments - here's the scenario.
The course has 3 assignments, and there are about 40 students.
There is a pool of 8 tutors, who are not connected to a particular student or a particular assignment. Their work is managed by an administrator.
Is it possible for the administrator (her job title, not her moodle role) to receive notifications of student submissions, and to then allocate them to individual tutors, according to who is available on that particular day? Ie the tutor cannot be set in advance.
She is currently doing it by forwarding the email notification to the relevant tutor, which works in terms of allocating the assignments, but leaves no trace on moodle and adds another layer into the process.
It would be good if she could set something on moodle to assign an assignment to a tutor, who could then either continue and review the assignment, or reassign it back it to the admin (ie not accept it). And the status of this would be visible for anyone to see.
I'm not sure if I'm missing something really obvious and this is a simple problem easily solved, or if it's a complex situation which will be hard to manage in Moodle?
I hope that makes sense - let me know if you need more information to be able to offer your opinion or advice?
