A drop down menu/submenu linking to a local file on the moodle server.

Hello Moodle Experts,

New to the Moodle World, I've installed  Moodle 3.3.2 on a test server and practicing it for a while. I've also installed and tested some themes to find out which one could be easily configured to configure Moodle Front-page just like a regular web site. That is, adding a few menus and/or sub-menus in the header area (or navigation bar) to display the file contents in the body of the frontpage without losing the css design files provided with the theme.

What I'm doing is:

- add the following lines to the themes with custom menu configuration feature

Moodle.com|http://moodle.com/
Test Menu |http://localhost/menu/menu1.html

- create a directory on the local server for the menu pages.

When I click on the test menu, it displays the menu1.html file in another window. It is possible to add any custom menu displaying the file it is linked to right on the front page, below navigation bar?

Any help to guide me to any document/link for such a config would be highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Faruk,
