Custom Calculation of Grade Equivalent

Custom Calculation of Grade Equivalent

Hello,

I'll try to be very brief and direct to the point.

When moodle computes for the equivalent grade of a raw score, it just uses the simple formula:

(no. of items correct)/(total items) x 100 = GRADE

Is there a way to modify this default behavior into something like the following?

GRADE = ( (no. of correct items)/(total no. of items) + 0.5) x 100

For example, using normal moodle calculation, 8/10= 80%.

What I wanted is to have 8/10 = 90%

What I'm trying to do is to make the lowest grade as 50% (those who got nothing).

In short, I wanted a transmuted grade, not the actual grade.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - I am going to move your post to the Gradebook forum to see if you get more specialised help there.
