Manually change assessment scores

Manually change assessment scores

Hi, I like using Workshop to have students write short reflective pieces and grade each other.

However, as is known, the automatic grading for assessment is limited and (in my opinion) only really suited to objective answers (maths, coding, etc.)

I'd like to able to manually change the grade for assessment, but I can't find how to do it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

julian

Hi Julian.

Firstly, you may wish to minimise the impact of the grade by setting it low. The docs page https://docs.moodle.org/en/Using_Workshop#Grade_for_assessment also suggests some options that affect the Workshop grades such as providing teacher's assessment or setting higher weight of a peer assessment you agree with.

You can also consider installing https://moodle.org/plugins/workshopeval_credit which may suite your needs better.

And finally, you can always change the calculated grade by overriding it on the the individual's assessment page. See the "Override grade for assessment" field:

Thanks David, I was having trouble finding the individual's assessment page, but I think I've found it now thanks to your information.
