We are using Moodle 3.1, but for many years, we have been puzzled that three or four unwanted blocks keep coming back (like Jaws!) when we make courses in bulk (I think it is the Course Upload function). The blocks include:
How do we prevent this? After making 100+ courses, I have to manually delete these d**n blocks.

I don't have a 3.1 at the moment, but my 3.3 doesn't create courses with extra blocks when I upload them, but I didn't have any templates or courses designated in the csv file. I am wondering if you have a template file listed in your file entries especially since you have been seeing this for a long time. There was a blog post by Mary when 2.6 update allowed this to happen. If that is not the problem, hopefully someone else who still has 3.1 can find the issue.
