I am still trying to find a solution with core Moodle or a reliable third-party plug-in.
From a discussion in the German language forum, "Testresultat vom Schueler quittiert?" https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=358576, a two-part quiz would solve the problem beautifully. The first part of the quiz would be the (subject) test. After finishing this part the candidate may submit the quiz and the result would be sealed. The next week, during the discussion of the results, the teacher opens the quiz together with the second part. In this case the second part is just a check-box to say that the student has seen the result. Logically, the student should be able to set the (new) check-box without altering anything in the exam proper.
Or, in simple terms, can I add a question to a quiz which was run?
