Can you please let me know how to force the courses by teachers to be created in just one category and what is the best way to hide this category from the students?
Enable course request functionality (from Site administration>courses) and ensure that courses can only be created in the one default category you choose and that they cannot choose another category. Then give the teachers the permission moodle/category:viewhiddencategories
