Looking for android development environment for moodle where mobile app can be developed and executed.
Could you explain what you mean by an android development environment. Do you mean to do the developing on an android device?. Because developing for the Moodle Mobile is based on PhoneGap/Ionic normal development is done in any standard IDE, e.g. Netbeans/Eclipse/PHPStorm. For example I develop with Netbeans under Windows and test with the chromium browser. It is only towards the end that I deploy to a mobile device. In the past that has meant I have discovered some pecular iOS problem that takes time to solve ....
Not sure about IDE's, I don't use them. There is an Android studio, but I have no idea how well this works with Cordova projects.
If all you want to do is write a remote addon for an existing Moodle plugin, you don't need the Android build tools, since you won't be generating a new APK file.
There are some alternative android app development IDEs where you can develop android
- AIDE (Android IDE)
- Application Craft
