I just looked through the Cloze documentation, and from what I can tell it doesn’t handle units except as an independent text entry, which decouples it from variations in the unit such as are allowed with numerical questions.
Just thinking it would be nice if one could write a numeric Cloze question along the lines of
{:NM: =1:0.01:m ~ =100:1:cm}
