Don't know if anyone can help, but I don't seem able to edit the books I have created, I can edit their settings, but there does not seem to be a way to edit the actual book(s).
I do not believe we have a theme incorporated, and I am logged in as a Teacher and Administrator. So, how do you edit the book.

Editing a book - go into the course, turn editing on for the course, click on the book resource, in the book table of contents click on the edit icon for whichever page you need to change.
If you see your site pages nicely arraigned, you do have a theme.
I am including a screenshot, but am not seeing Edit Book anywhere, tried going through book settings as well, still no luck, Suppose I should mention I am using Firefox for Ubuntu v55.0.2 on Linux (Ubuntu)
AL, tried your suggestion, but do not see an edit icon either...

Found it! No icon, but a link in Navigation panel, was hiding, and do need to be in the book at the time of editing.
Possibly part of the problem...your picture shows that you were Editing the course. To edit activities and resources, such as a book, you just need to be in the course with editing mode turned on, but not actually editing the course itself.
