Adaptable only have a few colours hard coded and are colours used by moodle itself as a system colours.
Before affirm something like that, take a look first to the theme settings or just let the developers answer the questions related to Adaptable.
In any case, the colours could be changed easily, as any other theme that have a few settings, using custom CSS.
