Jason, sorry for the delayed response.
In site administration, look for Appearance > Additional HTML.
There you will be able to add code to the <head> section.
The meta tag that I put there came from one of the site verification options in Google Search Console (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/)
With that I can verify the site.
Now I am still stuck in the Privacy Policy.
