Ah. Don't know why I didn't think of that. The logo is displayed in my help popups, because I rewrote the entire header template for my theme.
I'd solved the problem myself since my post by writing php code that looks in $bodytags to see what type of page it's on, but using CSS would be much nicer - thanks.
