Adding a Grade to an Assignment with Grades rather than marks

Hi all

I have an assignment that is to be marked online, using a rubric. In the rubric students are not to see the marks for each criterion. I intend to award a grade rather than a mark. I can click on the various parts of the rubric to give feedback, but next to "Current grade in gradebook", there is no drop down menu for the grades. The is a dash instead. If I click on the dash, it takes me to the markbook, where I can enter the grade. This is very cumbersome, andI know it did not have to be done this way for previous tasks. Can anyone help please?

Rubrics are multidimensional sets of scoring guidelines that can be used to provide consistency in evaluating student work. They spell out scoring criteria so that multiple teachers, using the same rubric for a student's essay, for example, would arrive at the same score or grade. May I know "Types of Performances That Can Be Assessed with Rubrics" I can better help. Thanks
