Unfortunately, I have worked at places where I did sometimes put in 24 hours straight. While in the US Army, one place we worked 12 hour shifts, 3 days on and 3 days off, alternating between days and nights. On more than one occasion i would work a double shift (24 hours) on the last of the three days for someone so they could go on a trip or something.
When I was a medivac pilot in South Korea, we worked a four day schedule. Day one we were "first up" and were on duty for 24 hours at the hanger. Day two were "second up" and had to be at the hanger during the day, could go home at night, but were on 30 minute recall. Day three was a training day at the hanger, could go home at night, but if both first and second launched, we had to return to the hanger and assume the position of first up. Day four we were off.
We were allowed to sleep on first up, but there were many times we would be awake all day an then have to go on a mission for hours at a time after dark.
After retirement from the Army, even as a teacher, due to extra duties for things like ball games,
festivals, etc., it was not unusual to put in up to 18 hour days.
So, in regard to 24 hours, I think it is important to be able to enter 24 hours for an individual entry. And, here is where I know I had not considered it before, the View list Total HAS to be able to show more than 24 hours, as if you just log 8 hours a day, after your third entry it should show 1 day 00:00 instead of 24:00. After the fourth day, it should show 1 day 08:00, and so on.
Hope to have a working version soon.
