Moodle 3.3+: importing from another course does not import any activities

Hello!

We're just testing an upgrade from 3.2+ to 3.3+, however after the upgrade, if I import one course into another, no activities are copied, only the section titles. This is a major problem and prevents an actual update. Has anyone noticed this before? Any ideas on how I can debug this? No error messages in any log file mixed

Thanks for any help!

I should ask this just in case it has been overlooked as it's not clear from your question - I'm assuming that this is an import from a backup file, so are you sure that the backup file was exported with all of the activities contained within it, and not just as a course shell?  What happens if you import this same backup file to a 3.2+ server?

It was an import from an existing course on the same moodle (no backup).

I just found the reason, it seems if you update the database, but don't save the new settings (due to wanting to discuss them with my team), that is what happens. It is a bug, but nothing very urgent, you just have to remember to save the new settings *before* continuing to work on that moodle instance ;)
