MBZ editing

MBZ editing

We have a Moodle backup file which we'd like modified to reflect our new non core module.

This requires editing a Moodle MBZ file to reflect a change in the lesson (we have our own non-core modules called "lessonsl"). In a given course, there are 11 core "lesson" activities which we'd like converted to "lessonsl" by modifying the mbz file for restore on the site.

The end result is a restorable file where the lesson mod have been updated to lessonsl.

If anyone can help me out with this ?

Recent backups are created using tar and gzip to create the archive by default. Older versions used zip. An archive GUI may recognize it if you rename it to have .tgz as the extension. Each lesson will by a separate xml file in the archive.
