Does anyone know if teachers are automatically subscribed to Forums in their classes?  I am working with a teacher who is subscribed to all forums in his class, even though the forums are set to optional subscriptions and his preferences are set to not automatically subscribe him.

One possibility is that they have their user preferences set to

automatically subscribe to forums when they post. If they click on their

name and go to *preferences > user*.



On that page under *User account* there should be an option for *Forum

preferences*.



On the *Forum preferences* page there is a *Forum auto-subscribe* option.



This is likely currently set to Yes. If that is the case, it sounds like

they want this changed to No.
