I write to propose a proposal I put in Moodle Tracker. Case: NDL-59414 (https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-59414) and wish to get more responses to support for this development by voting and suggesting how it could be put into moodle.
Current Situation
The assignment module allow use of rubrics for marking. This can effectively control variances of marker's mark and also to provide feedback to students. The module allows students to predetermine the level of expectation from the teacher.
Problem/Limitation
There is a limitation of the rubrics. It provides the user to "copy" an existing rubric. However, it does not allow us to merge multiple rubrics. It is often after a few delivery of the same course, we will have different rubrics because different assignment given to students. With this limitation, we have to "type" new rubrics even the decided rubrics is a combination of readily rubrics.
The Proposed Changes
1. To allow a collection of rubrics that administrator can set that the teacher can copy and merge as one.
2. To allow the teacher to select rubrics from own as well as administrator, merge as one
3. To allow changes made to the newly "merged" or "created" rubrics.
Please help to vote for these improvement so teachers using rubrics can be more effective in their designs.
