I just realized the attendance module allows a user to indicate the
sessions (days of lessons, times, etc), so attendance can be recorded. But
the attendance item is added after the initial creation of the course.
So the attendance module would have to be installed, and there would have
to be a way for the user to setup the sessions in the attendance activity
during the course creation process. Then the collapsed topics could just
view the sessions and add a topic for each session.
Possible ... it would just mean that the collapsed topics and attendance
would have to work together and share information with each other.
