I would like to know the current state of support/compatibility for Oracle Database. What are the recommended Moodle versions to work with such database?
This because the university I work for would like to integrate
information from its main Moodle instance (versions 3.1.1+, RHEL 6.6 (x86_64), Apache 2.2, PHP 5.4.45, PostgreSQL 9.1) with its main database (Oracle Database 11.2.0.4). I
am considering installing a new Moodle instance running with Oracle to which
instructors would export their current Moodle courses, so I would -hopefully- end up with just two Oracle databases to facilitate integration tasks.
However, I woud first like to get an idea if Moodle has known issues with Oracle that would make such an effort unviable from the beggining or get me stuck halfway.
