I have a course with 5 quizzes. The course backup failed to restore. I put this down to inclusion of the quizzes. I was proved right, course backed up without quizzes and restored perfectly. However restoring quizzes generate's the following error "We are unable to restore course backups. Backup fails with error_question_answers_missing_in_db or error_question_match_sub_missing_in_db."
I have tried individual backups of each quiz but again they fail to restore to the new course.
I'm mindful that special characters etc can break the restoring of quizzes.
My next approach is to export the questions to file from each quiz and then import them into the new course. What is the best file format to use and does the export process "clean up" the text in any way ready for import? Should I use Moodle XML format by default?
The quizzes are on v3.2, new course is on v3.2.1 So no significant differences to affect the restore process.
