Hi everyone,
I'm pleased to announce the release of a new 'Wavefront' 3D model viewer plugin. This allows teachers and students to upload .OBJ (Wavefront) 3D models to Moodle. Students can:
- manipulate the model on screen
- add comments
The plugin is available to download from the Moodle plugins Directory here: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_wavefront
The plugin ships with two example models (a human skeleton and a Greek vase). Some teaching examples -
- view and comment on models before they are 3D-printed
- familiarisation with complex machinery
- exploring anatomy
- games development
... and I'm sure there are many others I haven't thought of.
