Creating a collaborative learning community

Hi everyone!

I have project to make collaborative learning community, where student can upload essays done for normal school classes (not related to moodle) and other student can also see and understand. Goal: Allow students to learn from each other. Instead of students all learning individually, they can learn from others. Example: student1 takes English class, does many essays for teacher and gets them marked; normally, other students cannot learn from this process; But with my project student1 uploads marked essays to collaborative learning environment, and others can see and learn. Outcome: easier and faster to learn.

Questions:

1) how to make? (What is best way to set up moodle for this)

2) How to allow everyone to view/download uploaded essays, but not delete or always upload (spam)

Thank!

Hello,
I think it is difficult to give advice without additional information - and i am not an instructional designer - but in regards to question 2 specifically the two options that come to mind are

1)the Database Activity Module
or
2) using the Social Course Format.

Both would allow students to upload their work to be viewed by other users.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Thank a lot.

You think this the best way to do what I want?

This way can only students from my school sign up?
